Nikon Transfer 2, which can be used for transferring images to a computer, and Picture Control Utility 2, which allows users to adjust and manage Custom Picture Controls, have been incorporated into ViewNX 2, and functions for editing movies, including one that allows you to trim movie footage, have also been included (Nikon Movie Editor). What about the uninstaller? Can somebody tell me the procedure?I need to remove 2.4.7 and install 2.4.ViewNX 2 is an all-in-one image browsing and editing software application for both still images and movies.

Load Nikon Capture NX-2 on Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite These procedures from Nikonians who got it from DPReview:

I have just installed CNX2 2.4.7 on my iMac running Yosemite (10.10.1) using the procedure below and it seems to be working as intended. I think it is compatible with the (not case sensitive) Journaled format. My interpretation is that Capture NX2 is not compatible with the Case Sensitive or Case Sensitive Journaled formats. I think you have misinterpreted the blue higlighted bit above. so I went to web page of nikon to check requirements and that was it. I got the same message all of you got regarding is not compatible. Both Yosemite and Mavericks doesn't have the option for format your hard drive without being Journaled.

The problem is that Yosemite and Mavericks just works with Hard Drive format Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) and unfortunately, Nikon Capture NX2 needs Mac OS X Extended (NOT Journaled) for it to work. The problem is not the software or updates or whatsoever regarding this. I tried to install it today on Yosemite 10.10.1, as well as Mavericks 10.9.5. In that resulting file (on your desktop in this case) you will find the required files that need to be deleted!Īhh, that would explain it. Capture\ NX\ Setup.pkg ~/desktop/Capture\ NX\ Setup.pkg Enter the following two commands (copy/paste them so that spaces etc get entered and used properly):Ĭp -R. Mount the disc image that you downloaded, best would be the full version 2.4.7

You forgot this bit (from my earlier reply to Jeffrey):

If I try to delete anything it will prompt an error that says items cannot be deleted.Ĭan anyone please shed some light on how this workaround is supposed to work? Thanks. Right click on "Capture NX 2 Setup.app" and select Show Package Contents.Īlso, even if the files existed it appears that items can't be deleted anyway. The above fix seems easy enough, but the files in question do not appear to exist. I've just come across this issue of not being able to load NX-2 on a Yosemite machine. Just go to "show packet contents" and delete: After that there is still the system requirements check.
